Girls only Coder Dojo

Headline Date 06-12-2017

On Saturday 9th December The Telegraph are hosting a girls only Coder Dojo from 1pm – 5pm. Coder Dojo run programmes for 7 – 17 year old’s, giving the opportunity to learn IT skills.

You will get to find out about: building websites, creating and building games and designing apps. You’ll also be given the chance to play with OhBot, learn about Python, Javascript and Raspberry Pi’s, or just work on your own project with the benefit of having professional assistance on hand.

At the end of the session, there will be a show and tell where everyone has the opportunity to show what they’ve been learning, so bring along anything you’d like to show off that you’ve been working on.

With so much content online, these are useful and valuable skills for young people as they approach the age for entering the job market. Coder Dojo is also about having a great time, finding a potential hobby and getting the chance to meet other people from the area. Coder Dojo events are not-for-profit, run by volunteers, and are free to attend, but there are only 100 spaces and they’re going quickly!

Make sure to sign up via the link to get a space at what is sure to be an exciting event!
