Cycle Safety Surgeries

Headline Date 23-07-2015

Free security marking and high-visibility kits

Victoria BID has partnered with the Metropolitan Police Service for the second year running to offer Cycle Safety Surgeries including free maintenance checks throughout Victoria and we are also working with British Transport Police. Cyclists can opt for free security marking and registration onto BikeRegister’s online database. Registering your bike helps Police and retailers identify and verify the legitimate owners of bikes that have been stolen or are being resold. During the Cycle Surgeries the Victoria BID distributes free hi-visibility rucksack covers, mini LED bike lights and reflective slap bands to encourage safe cycling.

The next free drop in Cycle Safety Surgeries are being held on:

  • Wednesday, 11th August 2015 11:00-14:00 at Terminus Place, Victoria Mainline Station SW1V 1JU (by the bicycle rack in front of the entrance).
  • Wednesday, 19th August 2015 10:00-14:00 at Cardinal Place, SW1E 5JD.
  • Wednesday 2nd September 2015 16:00-19:00 at Waitrose/Westminster City Hall Canopy, SW1E 6QP.
  • Wednesday 23rd September 2015 10:00-14:00 at John Lewis Partnership HQ, 171 Victoria Street. London SW1E 5NN.

These events form part of the BID’s Safe and Secure initiative which aims to ensure Victoria is a safe and secure district for businesses and visitors.  For all further details contact our Policy & Security Manager chris.tsikolis@victoriabid.co.uk
