Additional police officers will be deployed into the areas during the day focusing on enforcement of street offences. This will be supported by four Romanian police officers currently working in the UK on a secondment from Romania under a joint agreement with the Romanian government.

The Lead officer on this operation, Police Inspector Ian Rawlins (Westminster South Policing Neighbourhood Policing Team) states: ” I hope that this will provide additional reassurance to local residents, business leads – their employees, and visitors to the area, that Victoria and the surrounding area remains the safest place in central London to live, work, socialise and visit!”.
