Community Engagement Event

Headline Date 31-01-2017

On Wednesdays 11th and 18th January, Met Police and local homeless charities hosted a Community Engagement Event at Westminster Cathedral Piazza. Employees from the local area, took time out of the working day to talk to charity professionals about what is being done to support rough sleepers. In attendance were representatives from the Metropolitan Police Service and Westminster City Council, homeless services such as St Mungo’s, CSTM and The Passage as well as nurses from community outreach and drug services that operate in the borough. The event offered a great opportunity for local employees to discuss ways they could get involved and help. If you couldn’t make the event, you can find out more by contacting Josh Brown, Community Liaison Coordinator, at josh.brown@passage.org.uk.
