“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up” Pablo Picasso
Young Westminster Foundation, Total Media UK and Positive View Foundation are delighted to invite you to a fundraiser in support of vital outreach youth work in Westminster, hosted by the Lord Mayor of Westminster, Councillor Ruth Bush.
The collection will feature affordable art from a variety of artists, celebrating Westminster and its youth culture.
EXHIBITION & AUCTION
Thursday 13th Feb 2020
6.30 – 9.30pm (Auction begins at 7.30)
The Greenhouse Centre, 35 Cosway Street, Marylebone, NW1 5NS
The auction will raise funds to support an outreach youth programme in Westminster, in addition to young artists through Positive View Foundation. Outreach youth work involves meeting young people where they are at, in their communities. Youth workers aim to reach out and make contact with young people who may have little access to provision and introduce them to what’s on offer. The aim of the work is to enable young people to develop their full potential as individuals and as members of our Westminster community.
£20 + booking fee per person, to include light food, drink & entertainment
(We anticipate this event will sell out, so please buy your tickets ASAP)
THE COLLECTION & BIDDING ENQUIRIES
All guests will receive a link to view the collection and begin bidding via The Auction Collective in the coming weeks. There will be no buyer’s commission on the night and you can bid in three ways: in the room, through absentee bids or on the telephone.
The auction will this year be held at the Greenhouse Centre, a Grade II* listed deconsecrated church in North Westminster which has been uniquely transformed into a community sport centre for young people and their families from the local community by Greenhouse Sports.
Greenhouse Sports is a London based charity committed to using sport to help young people living in disadvantaged communities to realise their full potential.
