As the local voice of business, the Victoria BID markets and promotes Victoria as a destination. We want to attract workers and visitors to explore the area and to spend more time and money here to help grow the local economy. We generate marketing tools and work on joint promotions and events with our business partners.
In December 2014 we launched the first issue of our free 52-page quality quarterly magazine Victoria London Starts Here. With a controlled circulation of 20,000 the magazine provides an independent voice for the community plus provides targeted advertising opportunities for local businesses.
We pay a personal visit to all street-level businesses each month. In addition to gathering vital intelligence about local issues, we also use this opportunity to market and promote news and events from our business community amongst local employees.
As the voice of business, the Victoria BID has a pivotal role in the process of marketing and promoting the ‘new Victoria’. With the construction of new buildings and the development of an improved public realm, it is essential that we continue to attract businesses, shoppers and tourists. We visit relevant national and international expos and fairs, such as MIPIM, to ensure that these goals are achieved.
People are looking at Victoria differently now. You might think that Tom Ford, Burberry and Jimmy Choo would be in Mayfair. No. They're here in Victoria.
