To mark Earth Month, our Cleaning Team and the team from The Rubens at the Palace hotel took part in a joint Litter Picking exercise around Victoria station on 24 April.

Scott Sur from the Rubens at the Palace Hotel said:

“It was a pleasure working alongside Victoria BID this April, cleaning up around the area of Victoria this Earth Month.

A variety of departments from The Rubens at the Palace, Hotel 41, and bbar, took part in the Litter Picking initiative picking up disregarded cigarettes, bottles, even the odd old train ticket was found!

From Receptionists, Reservation Agents, to our Kitchen Chefs, and Maintenance Engineers. We even had our central Public Relations Team and Marketing colleagues come across to help out.

We have a strong Sustainability Team at the Hotels, and we loved working along-side the enthusiastic team members from Victoria BID. It really highlighted to us what fantastic work they do to keep our area safe and clean.

We were delighted too, to have the general public engage in conversations with us asking about our volunteering activity. We look forward to doing it again in the future. Happy Earth month!
