Every fourteenth of February marks the celebration of St Valentine, now globally known as Valentine’s Day. Since it is widely celebrated as a day of love, we’ve made our top list of wonderful things to do in order to celebrate the day with your loved ones.
1. Have a memorable time at Hotel Chocolat’s Chocolate Experience
While material gifts might fade away, creating wonderful memories with your partner will be treasured forever. On Valentine’s Day, you can join Hotel Chocolat for their Chocolat Experience where attendees will be greeted with a bespoke themed cocktail, before tasting a range of delicious truffles from their Valentine’s Day collection. Afterwards, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own bespoke truffles over a glass of Prosecco which you’ll be able to take home in a fabulous goody bag. Another experience being hosted by Hotel Chocolat is the after hours Valentine’s Day Lock-In where guests will be ushered to an exclusive secret tasting.

2. Beat the crowd and enjoy an immersive dinner at Aster
If waiting in line in the hopes of getting bumped up the waiting list at your favourite fine dining restaurant doesn’t sound like a good night out to you, why not celebrate a week before Valentine’s Day? It’s the thought that counts afterall!
On the sixth of February, you can enjoy an immersive dining experience at Aster’s Through the Headset Dinner. You’ll be served a delicious four course menu with wine pairings. With your headphones on, you’ll be transported into the creative mind of Chef Patron, Helena Puolakka, bringing the dishes and flavours to life.

3. Celebrate with a three course dinner
A classic date in wonderful surroundings will always be a winner. Book a table at The English Grill at Rubens Hotel and enjoy a delectable three course dinner. The rich royal theme of grandeur will floor your date.
If you’ve got a history buff for a partner, they may enjoy visiting the Queen’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace. Go and be inspired by Roger Fenton’s pioneering photographs of the Crimean War taken in 1855.
Enjoy a romantic Afternoon Tea in the Palace Lounge, overlooking the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace. The tea will include a complimentary shot of their specially curated Aphrodisiac Cocktail.

6. Watch a play at The Other Palace
What’s more hilarious than a date on Valentine’s Day about first dates? Visit the Other Palace for MT Fest UK: First Dates. The play follows a blind-date newbie and a serial-dater who meet for a casual drink that turns into a hilarious high-stakes dinner.
The cast features Liam Doyle as Aaron, Sophie Isaacs as Casey, Dean John Wilson as Man 1, Natalie Douglas as Woman and Russell Wilcox as Man 2.
7. Surprise them with tickets to see Wicked
Wicked is a West End and Broadway musical sensation. For a special night out in town, head over to the Apollo Victoria Theatre to watch the musical live in action!
