The London Cycle Challenge

Headline Date 02-06-2015

The 2015 London Cycle Challenge is a fun and free competition to encourage Londoners to cycle more this summer. It runs for 3 weeks from Monday 8th June to Sunday 28th June and we're inviting BID members and their teams and staff to take part!

Victoria BID – backing more people on bikes

Victoria BID is proud to announce it is an official co-promoter of the London Cycle Challenge 2015, working with TfL and the London Borough of Westminster to support cycling as a sustainable travel mode in London. The project also supports our ongoing air quality project.

The London Cycle Challenge is open to all businesses and individuals who work or live in London. All you have to do is click on our unique link below to take part and encourage your colleagues and friends to participate by cycling for 10 minutes or more, to be in with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes.

The Challenge is all about participation. Businesses encouraging the highest percentage of staff to take part will be rewarded with enviable titles and great prizes!

There are also plenty of opportunities for individuals to bag top prizes for their cycling efforts. With Evans Cycles and Time Out London as official partners, there will be superb gifts suitable for all, ranging from VIP tickets, Evans vouchers, Lee Valley Velo Park sessions, experiences and more.

If you haven’t cycled for ages, don’t worry – you only have to ride a bike for 10 minutes or more for your participation to count towards your team’s score. Remember you can ride anywhere, anytime – in the evening or on the weekend. Your business will compete with others right across the capital, to see who can get the highest percentage of staff to give cycling a go.

The Challenge starts soon: 8 – 28 June, so we need your help to encourage participation – starting now!

Click the link below to register yourself and your organisation, so your colleagues can do the same and start building your company profile and stats page to move up the leaderboard.

Register online now. Let’s be the London BID that gets the most businesses and employees taking part in 2015!

Happy cycling!

And finally...

In support of the Challenge TfL is also rolling out its Cycle Workplaces Scheme. This offers free cycle parking, training sessions, cycle safety seminars and more, to any workplace in London with more than five employees.
