Questions about the Directory

How do you classify a zero or low emission form of transport?

For the 2017 directory a zero or low emission form of transport is one that involves:

  • Walking and cycling
  • An all-electric vehicle
  • A hybrid vehicle
  • A vehicle using alternative fuels (Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquified Natural Gas (LNG), or Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG))

Who built the directory?

We commissioned Parliament Hill Research to refresh the 2015 directory that they created for the Cross River Partnership as part of the Clean Air Better Business programme, and the City of London prior to this.

Is the directory just for businesses in Victoria?

No – it’s for anyone who wants to use it and who can then speak with suppliers to find out what their catchment areas are.

Do you have any useful links about air quality?

Cleaner Air for London
Kings College London: London Air Quality Network
Westminster City Council: Air Pollution

How is geographic coverage defined?

Generally, Greater London encompasses the London boroughs, Inner London is within the North/South circular, whereas Central London is in the Congestion Charge Zone. But speak with the supplier to confirm their coverage.
